​​​​We are aware of a circulating message that all Singaporeans will be eligible for the CHAS Blue card by applying online.

We would like to clarify that this is not true. There are three types of CHAS card, namely Blue, Orange, and Green, with different levels of CHAS subsidies, as part of our efforts to care for the health and well-being of all Singaporeans. While all Singaporeans are eligible for CHAS, the CHAS benefits are tiered according to the monthly household income per person or the Annual Value of the home. Such means-tested subsidies are intended to provide more assistance to help Singaporeans at the lower income groups cope with their healthcare costs.
