CHAS, Pioneer Generation (PG) and Merdeka Generation (MG) cardholders can receive CHAS subsidies for common illnesses*, selected chronic conditions and selected dental services* at participating General Practitioner (GP) and dental clinics. Eligible cardholders who receive invitation letters for the Screen for Life (SFL) programme from the Health Promotion Board (HPB) can also get subsidised health checks done at CHAS GP clinics.

From 1 November 2020, all Singapore Citizens who meet the criteria for vaccination under the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS) and National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) are eligible for subsidies for nationally-recommended vaccinations at CHAS GP clinics. Common Illnesses
Common illnesses are episodic acute conditions that can usually be resolved without long-term follow-up. Here are some examples of common illnesses covered under CHAS:

• Abdominal pain 
• Cough, cold, flu
• Diarrhoea
  
• Fever
• Headache
• Skin infection and rashes
• Sore eyes
• Urinary tract infection

Chronic Conditions
Chronic conditions are medical conditions that are generally progressive and require long-term care and medication. There are 23 chronic conditions covered under CHAS. They are:

• Allergic Rhinitis

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
• Bipolar Disorder+
  
• Chronic Hepatitis B
  
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
• Dementia

• Hypertension (High blood pressure)
• Ischaemic Heart Disease
• Lipid Disorders (e.g. High cholesterol)
• Major Depression+
• Nephritis/Nephrosis (Chronic Kidney Disease​)

• Parkinson's Disease
• Psoriasis
• Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Schizophrenia+
• Stroke

Patients who seek treatment for their chronic conditions at CHAS GP clinics can also receive subsidised rates for healthcare services such as Diabetic Foot Screening (DFS), Diabetic Retinal Photography (DRP) and nurse counselling at Community Health Centres (CHC) and Primary Care Network (PCN) clinics. Dental Services
CHAS Blue, CHAS Orange, PG and MG cardholders can receive subsidies for selected dental services at participating dental clinics. The table below reflects the dental services covered under CHAS, and the claim limits and subsidy amount for each type of service according to the different CHAS tiers.

Please note that the dentist will need to make a clinical assessment to determine whether patients meet the CHAS claim guidelines for each dental procedure. Patients should speak with their dentists for more information.​

Note: For dental procedures that involve multiple visits, such as dentures, crowns and root canal treatments, subsidies can only be claimed after the procedure is completed. The procedure must be completed before your CHAS card expires.
